My friends biological father gifted her this georgian carpet just before he passed away. He had loved her mother twenty-some years ago but returned to his wife after a summer full of passion.
I embroidered this carpet with three different flowers and hands. Each of these motifs carry a special meaning and reflect his relationships between the three women involved in this affair.  I placed an electric air pump under the carpet, which creates an effect that resembled a light, calm Breathing. This work attempts to reflect the complexity as well as the vulnerability of love.
